DISASTER MANAGEMENT SERVICE

     

Disaster management service, this word seems to be very common, but isn’t it easy to do such kind of services. So now the question arises why we need such kind of services? We need this kind of services to manipulate various disasters.

Disaster is a series disarranging of the normal functioning of society which involve widespread human, material, economic or environmental impacts that exceeds the ability of affected society to carry on using its own resources.

Disaster management service is about how we deal with the human, material, economic or environmental impacts of said disaster. It is a process of how we “prepare for, respond to and learn from the effects of major failures”.

It involves engaging in work which may help to prevent or avoid the losses due to disasters. They can’t terminate disaster but they can try to reduce the impact due to disaster using various methods, application and so on. And this can be achieved through research and planning in order to make an attempt to predict areas that may be at higher risk zones. Disaster management makes an effort to lessen the damage due to disaster. The first thing they attempt is to save the life. Everything can be made again but once someone losses life it can’t be get back. This service saves life and help people to come out of this disaster and start t heir normal life as soon as possible.

In the view of that many countries have some authorities who handle these kinds of different situations. In India we have “National Disaster Management Authority”, abbreviated as NDMA. It was established through the Disaster Management Act enacted by the government of India ON 23 December 2005.

NDMA is responsible for framing policies, guidelines with the state disaster management authorities (SDMAs) to ensure a successful planning to come out of the losses caused due to disasters. NDMA develops hands on training and organizes different platform were we could get to know how we could handle disasters.

Basically we came up with a simple conclusion here, that every country is facing some disasters, which is not possible for local people to handle the situation of disasters, that’s why government has given authority to some people who handle these kinds of jobs and makes every possible guidelines to secure the people during disasters.
